French bakery to the four corners of the world and developed and
expanded our know-how in the production of part-baked frozen bread and
frozen ready-to-bake confectionery.

History

We have been expanding our activity for more than 15 years to always satisfy you.
1990 Creation of the Société Générale de Boulangerie (SGB) and acquisition of the traditional bakery network FROMENT 2000. We started selling our products to commercial institutions (hotels, restaurants, school catering, etc.) and to local supermarkets.
1992 Site de SAINT VIT (25) Opening of a production plant at SAINT VIT (near Besançon). The company adjusted its focus to uncooked frozen pastries and par baked frozen breads.
Our activity became semi-industrial.
1994 Creation of a second production plant in AUDINCOURT (near Montbéliard). Vue de Mécatherme
1996 Decisive turning point in the company's history as it broke away from the FROMENT 2000 bakeries network and started concentrating its energies exclusively on the industrial production of frozen pastries and par baked breads. Product sales also extended to export.
1998 GENERALE DE BOULANGERIE became PLANETE PAIN - a name in line with our international aspect. Sales sharply increased.
Our production capacity increased :
- A third production line exclusively for bakery products,
- Cold room storage capacity increased from 300 to 1,500 pallets.
1999 Mécatherme Acquisition of a production plant at Sens (near Paris), specialised in the production of par baked breads and baked pastries in a protective atmosphere for which the FLAMBON brand is very well known abroad.
2002 / 2003 Full renovation of the Sens production plant. At the time it had become specialised in the production of par baked frozen breads, par baked breads and baked pastries in a protective atmosphere.
2004 A new production line was added to the SAINT VIT production plant for speciality breads and sliced breads baked on the oven shelf.
2006 Transfer the Sens production plant. Concentration in par baked frozen business.
Today PLANETE PAIN is a 140-strong plant that day and night manufactures our internationally appreciated (on five continents) breads and pastries.
